aicas Is Now available on AWS Marketplace

Reliable Software Platform and Adaptive Framework

Karlsruhe, Germany, 11 October 2023 – aicas, an international high-tech company developing embedded IoT and edge-to-cloud solutions, is expanding its partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS). aicas products are now available on the AWS Marketplace, a digital catalogue of thousands of software offerings from independent software vendors that makes it easier to find, test, buy, and deploy software that runs on AWS.

As part of this agreement, customers will be able to buy aicas’ products on the AWS Marketplace to accelerate development time and return on investment through software abstraction and reuse across heterogeneous device fleets.

aicas’ products are now available on AWS Marketplace for interested customers, starting with JamaicaAMS. Additional aicas products will be added to the Marketplace over time.

The JamaicaAMS product is designed to perform secure application management functions on an embedded target system or, in this case, on the AWS cloud. JamaicaAMS is a framework for component-based (realtime) Java applications. It extends the OSGi standard, thus following a service-oriented programming model. Also, it is designed to run modularized applications. 

Coming soon to AWS Marketplace:
The JamaicaVM builder that compiles Java bytecode into a native program that can run on an embedded target system or, here, directly on the AWS cloud. 

Key advantages of the two products:

  1. Systems can be reconfigured and adapted to changing business and technical requirements at run-time without disrupting operations.
  2. The ability to reuse components across multiple systems provides full application scalability across large fleets of devices.
  3. JamaicaVM makes JamaicaAMS available on platforms where Java and OSGi usually are not available and adds performance by compilation to native code.
