aicas’ Product Management is looking back at a year of changes and global challenges, paired with growth and success in our core areas.
In 2022 one of the largest automotive OEMs decided to use the cost-optimizing features of aicas’ JamaicaCAR solutions for the global deployment of its data application to support the data-as-a-service strategy. Also, a large Solution Partner from Germany has tasked us to collaborate with them on building a suite of DevOps extending deployment products. Some public sector integrators, e.g. in the area of aerospace & defense applications, have shown great interest in using our aicas EdgeSuite to modernize their software environments. Furthermore, longstanding customers and partners renewed their agreements with aicas for products, services and support.
Our partners are an essential part of our innovation and progress, and more valuable partners joined our long standing relationships, strengthening our existing processes and adapting for upcoming challenges. For example, aicas and Digital Management LLC (DMI) are partnering on innovative solutions around Driver Experience and Software Defined Vehicle.
aicas also began working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to enable any organization to create, deploy and operate edge-to-cloud solutions with real-time data using the AWS IoT Greengrass system. AWS also certified our aicas EdgeSuite inclusive JamaicaVM, JamaicaAMS, and JamaicaCAR for AWS Fleetwise selling.
In May, aicas joined the Google Cloud Partner Program. As a technology partner, we enable Google Cloud customers to implement and deploy embedded systems and to simplify processes around connected cloud-to-far-edge products.
All through the year aicas participated in events around the world, showing demos of our latest products and solutions, often in collaboration with our industry partners.
At CES 2022, aicas, AWS, MathWorks and NXP opened up a new world of data-driven capabilities, enabling easy access to rich vehicle data. The joint solutions allow OEMs to gain multiple cost-effective insights into vehicles, with an end-to-end solution for intelligent data access – all without programming needs.
At an event in February, in Karlsruhe, at the FZI Open House our CEO & CTO Dr. James Hunt spoke about "what edge-to-cloud solutions for the software-defined car do differently".
In March, at the Industry IoT Consortium Q1 2022 VIRTUAL Member Meeting, aicas' CPO gave a keynote speech on “Business Needs Behind Over-the-Air Updates”.
In July, at Mi-V Virtual Commit, audience members were able to "Learn how you benefit from the powerful capabilities of cloud-to-edge simplification".
At AutoTech Detroit, aicas, together with DMI and SoundHound, presented how we are partnering with our customers to innovate new solutions around driver experience, software defined vehicle, accelerated monetization, smart diagnostics and digital identity, and drive collaboration in the new mobility ecosystem.
At Automotive Europe in Munich, our experts demonstrated how automotive manufacturers are using intelligent hardware and software architectures to drive strategic change and derive significant business value from data.
At Informa Tech Automotive in Detroit, President & COO, Johannes Biermann, had the distinct honor to present one of the popular ‘Informa Tech Automotive’ awards live on stage and gave the laudation for the winner of the ‘WardsAuto Automotive Inspire Leader in Automotive Tech 2022 Award’, Matt Jones, Global Technology Strategy of FORD Company.
And finally, you can count on us for quality, always: our company renewed its ISO:9001 certificate, proving our focus on high quality - a key strength of aicas throughout its 21-year history.
After this challenging, albeit successful, year, having made substantial progress, we are now looking forward to the opportunities and innovations in 2023.
