Our products already enable smart connected solutions. We are working with some of the largest automotive and industrial enterprises whether in autonomous driving, manufacturing controls and operations or other critical business processes and use cases.
aicas was founded in 2001 and is headquartered in Karlsruhe, Germany with operations in North America and Europe. We are actively seeking an enthusiastic Architect for immediate employment in the US. You will get the opportunity to work with highly talented developers. Our team oriented work style and cooperative management concept welcomes creative work, but requires a high amount of self-motivation and personal responsibility.

 

Role Overview

You will engage with our customers and partners on pre-sales and post-sales opportunities as the point of contact for solving customer problems. In order to ensure solutions that are designed for customer success, you will lead and coordinate design and architecture discussions with customer engineers and keep up to date on competitive solutions, products and services:

  • Understand the value proposition of the aicas product line and the unique point of difference.
  • Work at the interface between business and engineering as well as maintain and develop understanding of our customers´ products.
  • Identify regional market trends and customer needs as input to aicas product development.
  • Perform hands-on tests to validate customer proof-of-concepts.
  • Travel to customer sites to support Design Engineers, Test Engineers, Product Engineers and Manufacturing Engineers. Travel requirements may be 30% or greater.
  • Reproduce customer problems for software/hardware engineering in order to correct and provide interim solutions to keep our customers' production flowing.
  • Work with Sales and Marketing to develop sales and support strategies.
  • Write and present white papers on technology and products.
  • Willing and capable to take responsibility and committed to strong work ethic and integrity.

 

Job Requirements
  • B.S. degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
  • Experience with large automotive and industrial customers is a plus.
  • 1+ years experience as Technical Support (FAE) or 3+ years experience as Solution Architect.
  • Ability to teach and train customers, partner and staff on products.
  • Java technology expertise and a solid understanding of project management.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creativity in building use cases driven environments.
