Projects

EMC²

EMC² – ‘Embedded Multi-Core systems for Mixed Criticality applications in dynamic and changeable real-time environments’ was an ARTEMIS Joint Undertaking project in the Innovation Pilot Programme ‘Computing platforms for embedded systems’ (AIPP5).

DreamCloud

Computing devices with multiple processing cores are now the norm. Most smartphones, tablets, game consoles, and of course personal computers and servers, can process software tasks in true parallel fashion.

CONCERTO

Building on ARTEMIS-CHESS and several other projects, CONCERTO will deliver a reference framework for multi-core systems, including their non-functional properties, demonstrated for several industrial use cases including aerospace, telecoms, automotive, and medical.

JUNIPER

The JUNIPER project intends to construct the platform from real-time technologies, using real-time principles, so that appropriate guarantees can then be given with respect to Big Data processing.

Intelligent Container

The Microsystems Center Bremen developed in cooperation with ComNets and the LogDynamicsLab the 'intelligent Container' as an autonomous transport monitoring system for perishable and sensitive goods.

CHARTER

CHARTER will develop concepts, methods, and tools for embedded system design and deployment that will enable developers to master the complexity and substantially improve the development, verification and certification of critical embedded systems.

CHESS

The development of Real-Time Embedded systems increasingly leans toward the adoption of Component-based Development and Model Driven Engineering approaches. The combination of these two approaches promises better mastery of complexity, increased reuse, and easier maintenance, with less development costs.

JEOPARD

In project JEOPARD, aicas and The Open Group have partnered with a consortium of leading European real-time technology developers, industrial manufacturers and research organizations to develop a new framework for Java-based real-time applications on modern parallel processor systems.

SuReal

SuReal is a medium term research and development project, sponsored by the German Federal Ministry for Research and Education. Companies, universities, and other research organizations from five German States participate in the project, that has the goal to improve the safety of embedded systems.

AERO 2

AERO 2 is a project with the European Space Agency to develop a software development infrastructure for satellite applications. AERO 2 is the industrial implementation project, following the AERO project.

HIJA

The objective of HIJA is to define and implement a new High-Integrity Java for future networked real-time embedded systems. Higher demands will be made on these systems and greater reliance will be placed on the delivery of their services.

HIDOORS

HIDOORS is a 30-month project of european companies and research institutes that is partially funded by the European Commission (IST 2001-32329)

AERO

AERO is a project with the European Space Agency to develop a software development infrastructure for satellite applications. The Aero project is developed by a consortium lead by Astrium SaS including Astrium Toulouse, Aicas and the University of Linkoping.
