Visual RCE (VRCE)

RCE is also available as a stand-alone, turnkey application that provides version control for arbitrary data files. For this purpose, RCE offers both a graphical interface and a command line interface.

In order to bring the full power of the RCE API to the casual RCE user, aicas now offers a new graphic based interface to RCE. The new tool, called Visual RCE, reduces the time required to manage RCE archives and enables a much more flexible use of RCE. VRCE has been written in Java to take advantage of Java's platform independent windowing capabilities; thus a single interface is available for all major operating systems and processor types. Since the computation intensive differencing engine remains in native code, the user is not be exposed to the performance penalties of a full Java implementation. A powerful preview mechanism and multiple selection enable the user to handle an entire directory tree of files at one time. Less time spent on revision control means better productivity for you.
