aicas develops and opens an office in France

Paris, France and Karlsruhe, Germany–September 17, 2009

aicas GmbH, a leading supplier of Java technology for critical real-time applications is continuing its success in Germany, USA, and Japan by opening a new office in France.

aicas' experience in the embedded Java technology illustrates a clear benefit to the French market. With the opening of its French office, aicas will be developing a complete range of services available in French. The French web site is now available at http://www.aicas.fr/.

Embedded electronic specialist Didier Dusclaux heads the new French office situated at Paris La Defense. "Didier is just the right person for this position. His vast marketing and sales experience from the Electronics and Silicon industries will help us expand our business in France.", said Andy Walter, Chief Operations Officer of aicas GmbH. “aicas has gained a solid reputation and good industry visibility within Germany and the U.S., and we have the ambition to raise our market position in France to similar levels”, Didier Dusclaux explains. “In view of the strong cross-border connections that exist between Germany and France and considering the embedded electronic markets being of comparable sizes in both countries, aicas' move to France makes good sense.”

JamaicaVM, aicas' flagship product, is a Java Virtual Machine (JVM) that provides performance guarantees for all primitive Java operations, thus satisfying the main requirement for hard real-time performance. It also eliminates memory leaks and fragmentation, which are the cause of many serious bugs in embedded applications. JamaicaVM is the ideal JVM to select for your projects, when your applications require:

  1. Very low latency for seamless graphical, industrial or financial applications and micro-second reaction time to Hard Real-Time events,
  2. Generation of compact code and limited use of memory resources for embedded electronics,
  3. Support for the highest level security standards to allow certification of your equipment, according to DO-178B for instance,
  4. Scalability, the ability to manage a large number of tasks in parallel while granting deterministic behavior to every task,
  5. Implementation of the RTSJ and J2SE Java standards and allow a wide access to the large set of Java classes and APIs for Real-Time and non-Real-Time programming.
