19 May 2005

The promotion seminar Java & (RT) Embedded Systems meets at Java & (RT) Embedded Systems on the 19 May in the UbiCenter in Leuven. Java is a very popular programming language for desktop, client-server and Internet applications but also in embedded systems Java is becoming more and more popular.
But what about Java in real-time embedded systems, is it fiction or reality...?
In this seminar the speakers will show how you can fulfill the real-time constraints for your embedded systems and why in other cases development sticks to C/C++. The seminar will end with some nice cases where Java is used. The presentations are in English. Next to the presentations the mini-exhibition allows the participants to see demos from companies and research institutes and to discuss Java solutions in detail.
Do not miss:
Dr. Fridtjof Siebert, Director of Development at aicas and responsible for the Realtime Java implementation JamaicaVM will give a presentation about Using the RTSJ in Safety Critical Systems: The HIJA profile
