The Realtime Specification for Java in Practice

Abstract: This paper gives an introduction into the area of using Java Technology in realtime systems. An introduction to the possibilities offered by the Realtime Specification for Java for embedded systems and realtime systems programming will be given. Advantages and pitfalls of the specification and solutions provided by realtime Java implementations are presented.
